Welcome to my class blog. I am currently teaching in the Special Needs field in Victoria, Australia. Because of the confidentiality of students I have not been able to post examples of the amazing achievements. Previously I taught at Rangiora Borough School in New Zealand. To see examples of the great work the Year 3 children did in my 2018 class, follow the blog and check out the tabs below.

2 Tablespoons Golden Syrup
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
Greased baking tray
Steps:
1. Put sugar and golden syrup into a saucepan
2. Stir over a low heat

4. Take off heat and add baking soda
5. Pour into a well greased baking tray
Once cold - break into pieces and enjoy!

We are learning to write procedures. Today we watched while Mrs Adamson modelled how to tie shoelaces, then we watched some youtube clips. We practised tying laces then wrote the procedure.
Lace-Up Shoes
Goal: To tie shoe-laces
Materials: Lace-up shoes
Steps:
1) Criss-cross the laces over each other
2) Pull the top lace over then under the other lace and pull tight to make a knot
3) With the hand you write with, make a 'bunny ear' loop with one lace and hold it down the bottom
4) Take the other lace and wrap it in front, then around the other lace
5) Pull this lace through the small hole to make another loop
