I just discovered this fabulous reading site where children can listen to their favourite stories being read aloud and can follow along with the words.

Welcome to my class blog. I am currently teaching in the Special Needs field in Victoria, Australia. Because of the confidentiality of students I have not been able to post examples of the amazing achievements. Previously I taught at Rangiora Borough School in New Zealand. To see examples of the great work the Year 3 children did in my 2018 class, follow the blog and check out the tabs below.

Sharing ideas using walking water!
This science lesson shows mixing primary colours and it also shows that if we share individual ideas we get new ideas!
The children were fascinated as the ed and yellow walked up the paper towel into the empty glass and made orange, the yellow and blue walked to make green and the blue and red walked to make purple.
While we watched the colours mix we discussed how we can come up with new, better ideas if we work together and share our thinking.
